Our clients ranged from drug court clients to medical students. All of their questions were welcomed by Tony Hoffman and their response was cheering applause. ”
— Sally Reames- CEO - Community Healing Centers (Southwest Michigan)

After my work with ADAC up in Washington I headed home for 48hrs to watch the Trophy Cup in Tulare, California. It is the biggest sprint car race of the year and i'm a huge sprint car fan so I had to head home to watch my good friend Ryan Bernal win Saturday's feature event. Monday morning though I was back on the road headed straight to Kalamazoo, Michigan. I've been to several parts of Michigan, this was a new spot for me. I would be sharing my life story at two events put on by Community Healing Centers, a non-profit treatment center.

My first night I got to share my story during an open community event. The event was held at the Kalamazoo "Air Zoo" which was awesome! It was a big building filled with an assortment of planes. One including an SR71, which i'm told is the fastest jet ever built. Everyone at Community Healing Center was absolutely fantastic and easy to work with! The weather was pretty rough and that worried me that the turn out might be a little light but that is not the case, it was a fantastic turnout. The audience was super engaged and had several good questions, including how to handle certain situations with America's opioid epidemic.

The following day, Community Healing Centers put on a conference at Western Michigan University. This event I would be sharing my story with attorneys, medical professionals, social workers and those in recovery. I loved the venue that I got to speak in and I definitely loved being able to speak to a mature audience working in the trenches with today's epidemic.

Thank you to everyone at Community Healing Centers for bringing me to Kalamazoo! I'm so grateful and hope that I can return to the area some more in the future!
